All The Shoes

All the Shoes in Vulgaria Are For Sale (if ya wanna)
Music ©1973 by Robert Davidson
Lyrics © 1973 by Robert Davidson & CP Roth
The things you do
When you tie my shoe
And when you do
It makes me go insane
And I eat my shoes for you now
The day I met you
You had a wet shoe
Your love had left
And you threw up your shoes
Let’s eat our shoes tonight
Oh baby please
I’m on my knees
I;ve grown accustomed to your shoes
And whats in ‘em
Give me laced loafers
High heels made of prisms
Let me eat your feet and shoes
And what’s in ‘em
We live off of shoes
We do what we choose
Therefore we conclude
We live off of shoes
We bring you the gnus
The gnus of the shoes
The gnus of the shoes
Inside it’s so soft
Let’s get our shoes off
I have a desire
My shoes are on fire
Don’t try to hide
Your shoe’s untied
I bet you’ve tried
To make it like me

Chompo’s Bandaid
©1973 by Robert Davidson
Chompo, Chompo
Have you seen Chompo’s lost bandaid?
Lost, bandaid gone
The nurse gave out her last one
How can Chompo have her headache cured?
Chompo’s bandaid
Chompo’s bandaid
In her molten icecap
Burning thoughts of how to raise
Her man
It was sacred
They were not bleached
Bleached, not turned darkest night
Into your own pair of pants
Sun a daily disk
Night a fallen breeze
Have you seen The Chomp?
She needs a Bandaid!
Springtime...springtime
It is always spring in Portugal (Portugal)
But where’s theHoly Bandaid
We’re just mortals without Bandaid soup
Ah ha ha ha
The tractor’s broken
Your weight in soup
You gifted poop
Mushroom soup, up to your ankles
You wait in soup
It could be poop
What will parents say
When they find out you
Stayed up in soup
(Soup, it’s not enough for some folks)
Got to have a life
Got to go up to visit Tuna
(Tuna stereo, Tuna Man)
So I must go
Go check out the...
The stereo up there it is a monster (Stere-o!)
When Tuna turns it up the girls all flip (Tuna Man!)
He plays all their favorite records and then (go Tuna!)
He serves them beer and wine and gin
Then he serves them some wine, and wine and gin
Then he serves them some wine, and wine and gin
Gin, gin, gin (and cigars!)
And he serves them

The Only Bean in My Garden
©1973, 2013 by Robert Davidson
I don’t want to say
You’re the Only Bean in My Garden
But you're the only one I’ve seen
And you’re the girl above the dirt in my mind
It makes me think just where you’ve been
And what will I say
To you on the lake
With the beans I can bake
The beans I can take
And when I look into your vegetables eyes
I wait around for your next surprise
And then you jump into your fast shiny car
You drive away I won’t let you get very far
“cos when I saw you on the Heniz depot, I said....
Gotta look gotta see gotta find
Gotta make this bean, part of mine
Gotta take the longest road
Find out why she never showed
I don’t want to say
You’re the Only Bean in My Garden
But you're the only one I’ve seen
And you’re the girl above the dirt in my mind
It makes me think just where you’ve been
Just where you’ve been...
Just where you’ve been...

The Worming of Dawn
©1974, 2013 by Robert Davidson
Happiness cries to you if you settle down
Into this life of insanity caressing humanity
No one was sure if there was a ever a cure
for personality lost if suicide was the cost, and asks
Is living so hip
Is death another cheap trip
To get us through the Worming of Dawn
Tony was cool
He said he’s nobody’s fool
But he was fooling himself
To think that somebody else
Would take the time to review
Just was happening to
Her man was nearing the lie
Moving to mindfulness shrines
Asks is living so hip
Is Tony’s life a cheap trip
To get us through the Worming of Dawn
Through the Worming of Dawn
Life is just a flurry of fits as I
Watch my lover’s mind fly to bits, is it
Worth my time for feeling like this?
After I am dead and gone they’ll see
What a tool they made of me
Driving me to their insanity
An orange medallion
A flame for your kind
Wrestling with hatred
And a past of nightmares left behind
Fools shouting orders
Striped with disbelief
Your wings have grown from Saturn
Rise from deepest shadows of conceit
Followed a road of complete unknown
Lessons taking time
As the clocks unwind
A vision of the bastard lie
Following the road of complete unknown
And living brings the final moan

The Legend of Paranoid Sam
©1974, 2013 by Robert Davidson
Paranoid Sam eats his breakfast
It was the only spam could understand
And in the bar he was an outlaw
Stolen a lady's heart that was just the start
He awoke and found her gone
Was it just a dream
what had he done wrong
His leather lady had moved on
Paranoid Sam left empty-handed
To search far and wide
For his almost bride
But she had turned to that man in the sky
No reply when Sam gave the eye
He said: “I don't care if you're the cleanest Jesus freak in Tennessee”
Why don't you come on back with me?
Paranoid Sam electric cowboy
Should be in a Memphis jail but he just jumping bail
The judge and said he was an outlaw
Stealing all ladies heart
That was just the start
He had run to Santa Fe
To sing and play
To earn his way
To the big time back in LA
And on the coast he found a
Spanish girl buried under the sand
His leather lady seen all that she could stand
And now
Paranoid Sand eats his breakfast
It was the only spam he could understand
And everyone goes downtown to see him
With his bland country band
You could never stand
With his bland country band
He could stand

Beyond Your Dignity
Music ©1973 by Robert Davidson
Music & Lyrics ©1973 by Robert Davidson & CP Roth
Sunday smiles
Hazy sky
Turn the dial
Set me high
Show me the dream world
Of all your murder scenes and game show queens
Let me fly again
Drifting by again
Prime time lies again.
Staring to the bliss beyond the dignity of time
Spinning little witches tales of droll sadistic crimes
An open marble sheds delight and breaks on empty panes
The golden box that faces you will wash away the rain
And then it takes you by the hand
You’re under it’s command
It’s got you in it’s teeth
That your Dignity’s beneath
Grazing in soap suds
And luxury needs
Its soul is in your blood
It’s planted its seeds
Soon it takes over
It’s a lullaby and you can’t hide
It’s roots are deep
It’s a never ending sleep
So many people
Who never did exist
You’d like to join them
You’d never be missed
And then you’d fly to your grave
So you’re lost on a wave
Taxing your living
Relax in your chair
Your fantasy’s real
But you aren’t there
Life on an island
Out in space or any place you want to be
In a hole inside a tree
Or lost from memory
Cutting off your thoughts before the box it used to be
The quickest way for you to shut out a world you couldn’t see
But life is coming at you now
You start to feel the pain
And as the studio audience screams
The host will now explain
That no one really cares
Entranced behind the stares
And if their lives they loose
They’ll watch it on the news
Always you guard it
The pride of your home
Beyond Your Dignity
To leave it alone
Leave it alone

A Cheap Trip
©1973, 2013 by Robert Davidson
Trevor used to go to school
Where did Trevor go to school
Massachusetts was where Trevor went to school
Who would have believed it
Did he go for fun or was it education
Was it education
His parents made him go
They did not know
That Massachusetts was a place where he could
Have some fun
Get things done
A place to run
Was he happy there
With all the teachers they were everywhere
Liberals liberals
Liberal open minded choads
Who could never figure out
What all of the students were doing
In their own phony thing called
School
There was a boy who went to the school
Fony was his name and he was cool
One day he took a turn for no good
Did some afrin as we knew he would
He’d become 1000 times as smart
Now could really get into art
Art that used to make him want to fart
He kept it up for at least five days
Lost in his dreams
Real as it seems
Dreams cannot hurt me
Where did he get the poison that he took?
Where did he, how did he, why did he?
Was he with Trevor, in his room
Listening to Zappa records, all alone
Trevor’s out, Fony's big trip
Everyone wondered what his fate would be
Do you think they cared?
They stood and stared
They stood and stared
Crispy little bumps she has just walked in the room
Trevor drinks his beer what of his career?
He is always working but no one really cares
Yes this is the sad part, the sad part of this story
Just thought that I'd tell you
Poor boy
Helpless
He never did anything wrong
A victim of everybody else's bad judgment
Wrong
Mindless
Useless
Who will pay?
For the Frank Zappa albums
That sent him on his way
A victim of everyone else's bad judgment
Wrong

All alone, all alone together
Cleared the table
By ourselves
Far we’ve traveled to see each other
Now we’re back, had we ever gone
Everyone I’m with now
Shows me you were the only
Love I found as my own way of knowing
Life it without it a hollow bone
How you were to know
That the things you did yesterday
Broke me in another way
Set the ship of destiny free
How could it last
Our love just passed away
Once awakened scorned and blinded
No direction
No Answer to life
No direction
No answer to lie
